 Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States, Teamvantage has been proudly doing what we can to support the fight against the coronavirus. Whether it is producing components for healthcare equipment supporting essential workers and patients fighting COVID-19 or fabricating expedited tooling to assist other manufacturers doing their part; we remain committed to providing products and services that our customers rely on during these challenging times. 

Teamvantage is an essential, critical infrastructure manufacturer as we regularly produce medical products that support and sustain life, in addition to defense products that are critical to homeland security.  As such, Teamvantage has remained open and fully operational while doing our part to support our employees and commitments to our valued customers. Our capacity remains intact and we are running on a 24/5, and 24/7 (selected products), basis.

Teamvantage has taken action and continues to monitor information in regard to the COVID-19 pandemic through the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and CISA Guidance to ensure and protect the health and safety of our employees. We have implemented a business continuity strategy that addresses issues such as:

• Implementation of an enhanced hygiene strategy that is consistent with COVID-19 recommended practices to ensure the health and safety of our team
• Implementation of appropriate social distancing wherever possible through work cell layout adjustments and labor allocation plans
• Identification of remote team members and on-going support and coverage
• Broader and longer-term business decisions to ensure sustained manufacturing

Teamvantage Awarded Minnesota PIPELINE Program Dual Training Grant

Teamvantage (as part of NewTeam) is excited to have been selected as one of the grant recipients from the Minnesota PIPELINE program.  The Minnesota PIPELINE (Private Investment, Public Education, Labor and Industry Experience) Program is an innovative approach to address current and future workforce needs. The program works with employers to change the conversation from “How do we find workers with the skills we need?” to “How do we GIVE workers the skills we need?”

PIPELINE exists to support employers in creating or enhancing a competency-based dual-training approach where workers receive a combination of related instruction strategically paired with on-the-job training. Dual-training grants through the Minnesota Office of Higher Education provide funding for employers to create new and expand existing dual-training initiatives.

With the grant funding, Teamvantage is planning to give current employees an opportunity to learn new skills and advance their careers within the organization.

New Equipment at Teamvantage

In order to support our sustained growth and to continue to offer the latest industry technology to our customers, we are excited to announce the purchase of the following equipment for our facility.

• 200 ton Nissei injection molding machine equipped with a Yushin robot
• 100 ton Sodick injection molding machine
• 165 ton Sodick injection molding machine
• 495 ton Sodick injection molding machine
• 715 ton Sodick injection molding machine
• Overhead crane for our secure development room
• 2 Branson 200XC sonic welders
• UR collaborative robot

The new injection molding machines and sonic welders are similar to versions we currently possess, which helps to standardize our operations and increase efficiency in terms of operation; setup and changeover; and maintenance on the new equipment.

The collaborative robot can be used in many applications and is beneficial to maintaining consistent cycle times, which in turn will result in consistent product quality and increased efficiency.
